Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Sanur

    Selamat datang di Indonesia / Welcome to Indonesia!

    Upon arrival at Denpasar International Airport Bali our driver will bring you to your hotel in Sanur. The rest of the day is free at your leisure to go swimming, snorkeling or just laze on the beach. Sanur is a nice small town. It has one of the longest beach promenades of Bali with a paved walkway. Here you will find leisure seekers strolling around, easy going cyclers and many nice places to enjoy a drink and meal while looking out over the sea.

  • Day 2: Sanur – Munduk

    Today you will be picked up in early morning and continue to Balinese village of Munduk by private car with English-speaking guide. We will make some nice stops on the way. First we will visit the famous sea Temple Tanah lot, usually visited during sunset but virtually deserted and equally charming in the morning. Further visits include the refined temple Pura Taman Ayun, the small but interesting butterfly-park Wanasari and the stunning rice-terraces of Jatiluwih. Via lakes Bratan (with beautifully situated temple Pura Ulun Bratan), Tamblingan and Buyan we arrive in Munduk late in the afternoon.

    Munduk is a typical Balinese village, with its village-temple, busies morning-market and Balinese houses. The villagers make their living growing cloves and rice so there are rice-terraces and clove-plantations as far as the eye can see. This area is ideally suited for long or short hikes.

  • Day 3: Munduk

    Today is a free day in Munduk. There are plenty of small hikes in the surroundings to do by yourself or choose for the Interlake Hike of 5-6 hours to experience the most of this area.

  • Day 4: Munduk – Lovina

    In the afternoon we drive to the north-coast following a beautiful route. We visit a colorful Buddhist monastery and you can relax in the hot water pools of Banjar on the way before we continue the drive to Lovina.

  • Day 5: Lovina – Ubud

    Optional Dolphin Watching Tour: In the early morning at first light in you board a small boat that takes you to the sea, searching for dolphins that can often be seen off the coast but we can’t guarantee unfortunately.

    After breakfast you will be picked up by our private car with English-speaking guide and continue to Central Bali. First you will visit Singaraja to see the colorful market and we stop at the rice-temple Pura Beji, monumental Meduwe Karang temple and Pura Ponjok Binu. A secondary road leads through spectacular scenery. Sembiran, a small traditional village, leads to Lake Batur at an altitude of 1.200 meter (3500 feet). On the banks of this lake is a hot water pool. In the afternoon you will arrive in Ubud

  • Day 6: Ubud

    Free day Ubud.

    Ubud is Bali’s artistic heart and the center of cultural events. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape it is easy to see where the artists find inspiration. This is a great place for buying special mementos with many small shops and galleries. For those wishing to know more about Balinese art; a visit to one of the local museums will be of great benefit. Cultural events such as ceremonies, dances and temple festivals occur frequently and you are always very welcome to observe. Ubud has many good restaurants where you can savour a range of foods from simple Balinese-style to sophisticated European dishes.

    Near Ubud is the monkey forest, a small tropical jungle where wild monkeys live. On the edge of this forest you can see the fascinating temple of Pura Dalem Agung, temple of death! In short, Ubud is a place where you will never get bored.

  • Day 7: Ubud – Tetebatu (Lombok)

    In the morning we will transfer to Lombok using the fast boat or a short flight depending on your preference. After arrival in Lombok our driver will take you to Tetebatu in app 1.5 – 2 hours. Tetebatu is a small village on the lower slopes of the mighty Rinjani volcano beautifully situated between rice and tobacco fields. On your way to Tetebatu you will visit a local market where you can buy some exotic fruits. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

  • Day 8: Tetebatu

    Free day in Tetebatu. In the morning there is the possibility to do a 3 hr walk through the rice and tobacco fields around Tetebatu. You end in Pringgasela, a village where almost all women know the art of weaving. You will be served a real ‘Sasak’-meal (incl.) and watch the process of songket weaving.

  • Day 9: Tetebatu – Senaru

    Today you will be picked up by private car with English-speaking guide and drive to the north of Lombok. Before we drive all the way to Senaru you will stop for a snorkeling trip to the small islands of East Lombok called Labuan Pandan. There are 3 ‘Gili’s’ (small islands) that you can visit. You will have a pic-nic lunch one on of the islands the guide will already have arranged a lunch box for you. If you like you can discuss with your guide to visit Petagan Island. This island is protected for mangrove conservation. You will be back on the mainland in the afternoon and continue drive towards Senaru. The drive takes approximately 2 more hours. On the way to your accommodation you can stop to see an old mosque in Bayan just before you get to your hotel.

  • Day 10: Senaru – Gili Meno / Trawangan / Air / Senggigi

    The surroundings of Senaru are fertile and lush. It is the starting point of a nice and easy panorama walk guided by an English-speaking guide. On the way you visit villages where its inhabitants still live according to ancient religion and traditions. You will see that the villagers are most happy to invite you in their homes. The walk goes through rice fields and ends at an imposing waterfall. In the afternoon we transfer to Gili Meno / Trawangan / Air / Senggigi at your preference.

  • Day 11-12: Gili Meno / Trawangan / Air / Senggigi

    Free days in Gili Meno / Trawangan / Air or Senggigi.

    During your stay in any of these locations we offer a variety of optional activities to see more of Lombok or the Gili Islands and it’s surroundings.

  • Day 13: Gili Meno / Trawangan / Air / Senggigi

    Today is your departure day. Depending on your departure time, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and bring you to the airport.
