Overview

In this trip you will see the highlights of Bali. We take you off the beaten track to witness the daily life of the locals. Some nice walks through spectacular nature are included. Discover the fascinating nature, impressive Hindu temples, traditional villages and the famous ikat weaving. Enjoy the spectacular scenery while you visit the Batur area on a bicycle. You will end this trip in the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Denpasar

    Welcome in Bali. The Indonesian island that has sparked the minds of travelers for generations is a treasure trove of experiences; with its unique culture, arts and the warmth of its people Bali still retains its special allure.

    On arrival in Bali, you will be met by our driver and privately transferred to Ubud. Under the influence of Prince Agung Gede Sukawati, Ubud attracted Western artists and scholars such as Miguel and Rose Covarrubias, Margaret Mead and Walter Spies who helped secure Ubud as the cultural and spiritual heart of the island.

    Your accommodation is located in close vicinity of Ubud center. The resort is in an enviable position to offer you a standard/middle range boutique hotel with an ideal location. It combines peace and tranquility and yet closes proximity to Ubud’s center nearby famous Museum, art galleries, gourmet and fine dining restaurants, convenience shops, & bars.

  • Day 2: Ubud

    You program today is Half Day Ubud Cycling (downhill).
    Ubud is great for cycling, walking or just strolling.By bus you will drive up to Kintamani. After a snack you will change the bus for a bike. You will make a tour along villages back to Ubud. On different stops you will get plenty of explanation about the life on Bali. The route is mostly downhill. The bus will follow the cycles or if you are tired you can join the bus. The tour will be awarded with a delicious lunch!

  • Day 3: Ubud

    Today you will be picked up at 09.00 and you will see the spiritual sight of Bali in depth. We will drive you the Balinese family compound which is also a place for Yayasan Widya Guna foundation. Then is time to start with creating an offering, called Canang in Bali. This offering will be brought to the temples to ask permission of the Gods to enter the temple. You will wear simple Balinese costume (included) during this program.

    At Gunung Kawi you will see the beautiful rice fields and the carved façade dating back to the 11th century. They are called the Kings tombs, commemorating the Udayana Kingdom. The guide will lead you on small rice field paths surrounding the complex.

    At Tirta Empul, the guide will take you around the temple with 14 Holy water spout for purification. The guide will explain about the offering and the way of making the prayer before you will take the holy bath to purify yourself (you do not need to bath if don’t want). Back to the Foundation you will be served a lunch at a beautiful spot amidst the rice fields surrounding the class rooms of the foundation. After enjoy your lunch you can be transferred directly to your hotel or you can still play with children’s there before drive back to your hotel.

  • Day 4: Ubud – Munduk

    This morning you’ll convene with your guide and then depart Ubud and drive to Jatiluwih, the most popular and largest rice terrace in Bali.
    Afterward proceed to Batukaru Temple, a unique sacred mountain sanctuary and royal temple of Tabanan dynasty. It was founded in 11th century by Empu Kuturan, a great Hindu Sage who established six main temples on the island of Bali.
    Lunch will be served at local restaurants.
    And then we will drive to the remote and mountainous interior of Bali. You’ll make a stop at the shores of Lake Bratan to see one of Bali’s most picturesque temples, Pura Ulun Danau.

    Then we will proceed to Munduk Village where you will overnight here.
    Munduk village is a beautiful mountain of Bali on 700 m above sea level with the temperature 18-20 celcius cool calming weather only 3 hours from Denpasar airport.
    Munduk is original Bali with coffee farm, clove, vanilla, and cocoa plantation, represented a famous agriculture in Bali and arrange by the traditional organization farmer we call Subak.

    Your accommodation provides a serene and relaxing atmosphere. By staying in one of the cottages, all guests are able to experience a cool mountain retreat in northern Bali.
    Evening is free at your own leisure.

  • Day 5: Munduk

    Today you will explore Munduk Village and surrounding by joining environmental trekking. This trekking starts heading to Red Coral Waterfall walking along the riverbank. We are still in Munduk area then we continue to Dayang area, home to a breathtaking concentration of terraced paddy fields. On the way return you will have the option to visit an ancient Dutch Colonial style house. Duration is around 3 – 4 hours. Your local guide will take you on an environmental trek through the lush countryside, showing you the coffee, clove, vanilla and avocado.

  • Day 6: Munduk – Lovina

    Today we will drive you to North coast of Bali. Before direct proceed to Lovina, you may stop and visit Buddhist monastery and you can bathe in the hot springs of Banjar. The road along the north-coast brings you in around 2 hours to Lovina, a small fishing village with a number of hotels on the beach.
    Lovina Beach is the most developed tourism area in the North Bali with volcano black sand with the ring of fire in the south providing a spectacular backdrop to coastal setting.

  • Day 7: Lovina

    Early morning at 06.00 you will join Dolphin tour.
    Lovina Beach is one of the famous places for dolphin watching tours in Bali. It is blessed by the calm seawater that ideally for dolphin habitat. Dolphin tour at Lovina Beach is executed in the morning time when the sunrise and using the Balinese traditional boat to explore the blue ocean. The group of dolphins shows their attraction like jumping on the deep of sea. It is an exciting tour to see the cute of dolphin and beautiful panorama of sunrise from the ocean.

  • Day 8: Lovina – Sanur

    After leisurely morning, our driver will pick you up and then drive you to south part of Bali. Today you will explore beautiful and traditional eastern Bali. Start the day with a visit to a fascinating Bali Aga (traditional village) where the inhabitants cling stubbornly to traditional beliefs. Here you will have a chance to observe the incredibly intricate double-ikat weaving technique and to purchase one of these or other extraordinary works of art. Then you will visit also Kerta Gosa (the Hall of Justice), featuring a series of 267 painted panels, telling the five tales of the Tantri, a Javano-Balinese version of The Panchatantra. Before proceed to Sanur you may stop at : Goa Lawa (Bat Cave). Late afternoon arrive in Sanur.

    Your accommodation is located on beach side and closely to center. You may walk around the beach or to main street to find nice restaurants, shops, night market, spa and more. Beach in Sanur is good place to relax after your long journey.

  • Day 9: Sanur

    Free at your own leisure.
    You can go swimming, snorkeling or just laze on the beach.
