Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival Denpasar

    Welcome in Bali. The Indonesian island that has sparked the minds of travelers for generations is a treasure trove of experiences; with its unique culture, arts and the warmth of its people Bali still retains its special allure.

    On arrival in Bali, you will be met by our driver and privately transferred to Ubud. Under the influence of Prince Agung Gede Sukawati, Ubud attracted Western artists and scholars such as Miguel and Rose Covarrubias, Margaret Mead and Walter Spies who helped secure Ubud as the cultural and spiritual heart of the island.

    Your accommodation is located in close vicinity of Ubud center. The resort is in an enviable position to offer you a standard/middle range boutique hotel with an ideal location. It combines peace and tranquility and yet closes proximity to Ubud’s center nearby famous Museum, art galleries, gourmet and fine dining restaurants, convenience shops, & bars.

  • Day 2: Ubud

    Free at your own leisure.

    Ubud is Bali’s artistic heart and the center of cultural events. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape it is easy to see where the artists find inspiration. This is a great place for buying special mementos with many small shops and galleries. For those wishing to know more about Balinese art; a visit to one of the local museums will be of great benefit. Cultural events such as ceremonies, dances and temple festivals occur frequently and you are always very welcome to observe. Ubud has many good restaurants where you can savour a range of foods from simple Balinese-style to sophisticated European dishes.

    If you would like something more energetic you can go white water rafting on the Ayung River. Another great treat is a Balinese massage – this is a wonderful experience for both men and women. Near Ubud is the monkey forest, a small tropical jungle where wild monkeys live. On the edge of this forest you can see the fascinating temple of Pura Dalem Agung, temple of death! In short, Ubud is a place where you will never get bored.

  • Day 3: Ubud

    You program today is Half Day Ubud Cycling (downhill).

    Ubud is great for cycling, walking or just strolling.By bus you will drive up to Kintamani. After a snack you will change the bus for a bike. You will make a tour along villages back to Ubud. On different stops you will get plenty of explanation about the life on Bali. The route is mostly downhill. The bus will follow the cycles or if you are tired you can join the bus. The tour will be awarded with a delicious lunch!

  • Day 4: Ubud – Amed

    Today we will drive you to Amed. This morning, meet your driver and explore beautiful and traditional eastern Bali. Start the day you will visit Kerta Gosa (the Hall of Justice), featuring a series of 267 painted panels, telling the five tales of the Tantri, a Javano-Balinese version of The Panchatantra. Then you may stop at : Goa Lawa (Bat Cave).
    Afterward we proceed to visit to a fascinating Bali Aga (traditional village) where the inhabitants cling stubbornly to traditional beliefs. Here you will have a chance to observe the incredibly intricate double-ikat weaving technique and to purchase one of these or other extraordinary works of art.

    Afternoon you will arrive and spend the night in a cozy beach hotel.

  • Day 5: Amed

    Free at your own leisure.

    Amed is an ideal place for snorkeling and diving. There are plenty of good spots. Dive-centers in Amed offer excursions to the most beautiful coral reefs of Indonesia. You can even go ship-wreck diving, USS Liberty sunk near the coast of Tulamben and is a must-see! Amed still has a traditional salt making industry that you will be able to see.

  • Day 6: Amed – Munduk

    On the way to Munduk we will visit Pura Meduwe Karang, well-known for its statues and sculpture panels. Lake Bedugul will be next on our program; here you can admire a temple that is often featured on postcards. This temple is dedicated to the goddess of the lake. In Munduk we stay in a very special hotel. Rooms are built in a traditional lumbung (rice barn) style and through several ecotourism-projects the hotel tries to preserve nature.

  • Day 7: Munduk

    Today you will explore Munduk Village and surrounding by joining environmental trekking. This trekking starts heading to Red Coral Waterfall walking along the riverbank. We are still in Munduk area then we continue to Dayang area, home to a breathtaking concentration of terraced paddy fields. On the way return you will have the option to visit an ancient Dutch Colonial style house. Duration is around 3 – 4 hours. Your local guide will take you on an environmental trek through the lush countryside, showing you the coffee, clove, vanilla and avocado.

  • Day 8: Munduk – Sanur

    A picturesque trip along the most beautiful rice fields of Bali. The route goes through Papuan, Blimbing and Tabanan. We will visit the Buddhist temple Brahma Vihara Arama to observe Buddhist architecture with a Balinese influence. Hot thermal springs are around for a refreshing break. Last but not least, you will visit the famous temple of Tanah Lot.

  • Day 9: Sanur

    Free at your own leisure.
    You can go swimming, snorkeling or just laze on the beach.
